Crew Chief — Concrete & Garage Floor Coatings

Bergen County, NJ · Full-time · $28–$35 per hour

We’re a new concrete coating company serving Bergen County, installing cyclospartic garage and basement floors for homeowners. We’re hiring our first Crew Chief — the person who runs the truck, runs the job and does the work alongside a helper. One job a day, home every night.

What you’ll do

• Run one job a day start to finish: protect the space, grind the slab, repair cracks and joints, base coat, broadcast flake, topcoat
• Lead 1–2 helpers and keep the job on schedule
• Call it when a slab isn’t ready — we back that judgment
• Drive and maintain the box truck; keep tools and inventory in order
• Walk the homeowner through the finished floor

What you need

• 3+ years hands-on in concrete, coatings, flooring, waterproofing, or a related trade
• 1+ year leading or informally running a crew
• Comfortable running a walk-behind grinder, shot blasters and other equipment with dust collection
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Comfortable driving a 25 ft box truck (no CDL required)
• Able to lift and carry 50–75 lbs repeatedly, kneel and bend for long stretches, and work in unheated garages year-round
• Legally authorized to work in the United States (we do not sponsor employment visas)

Nice to have

• Cyclospartic, Polyaspartic, polyurea, or epoxy experience
• Shot blaster or grinder experience
• Spanish and English

What we offer

• $28–$35/hour depending on experience, paid weekly
• Overtime at time and a half
• Once the business is mature (moves past a certain monthly minimum of jobs), move to full salary + bonus if desired
• Extra commissions for additional jobs that you may sell
• Company truck and every tool — bring boots, that’s it
• Paid manufacturer training
• Home every night, no travel outside North Jersey
• First crew chief in the door, with a real path to Operations Manager as we add truck
• Eligible for retirement benefits after one year of employment
