Job Description
Restored Right is a property disaster restoration company serving South Orange County from our San Clemente office. Since 2018 we have helped homeowners and businesses recover from water damage, mold, fire and smoke. We are looking for an experienced Xactimate Estimator who can also run our office.
THE ROLE
This is a dual role for someone who is fast and accurate in Xactimate and equally comfortable running the day-to-day business side of a restoration company. You will write the estimates that get our jobs approved and paid, and you will be the voice clients hear on the worst day of their year. If you can move between an Xactimate sketch and a payroll deadline without losing a step, we want to talk to you.
ESTIMATING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write, review and revise Xactimate estimates for water damage mitigation, mold remediation, smoke damage restoration, fire damage restoration and reconstruction
- Sketch and scope losses accurately, apply correct line items, and document scope for carrier review
- Work with adjusters and carriers through the approval process, including supplements and revisions
- Track estimates from initial scope through final invoice
OFFICE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer and manage incoming client phone calls, schedule work and keep clients updated
- Run payroll and maintain accurate time records
- Manage product and equipment inventory, reorder supplies and track equipment on jobs
- Manage active jobs including files, documentation, photos, permits and paperwork from first call to close
- Process and pay subcontractor invoices and keep subcontractor records and insurance certificates current
- General office administration: filing, correspondence, vendor accounts and office supply
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Hands-on Xactimate estimating experience in water mitigation, mold remediation, smoke damage, fire damage restoration and reconstruction (required)
- Working knowledge of restoration industry standards, scopes of work and the insurance claims process
- Office management or administrative experience including payroll, invoicing, inventory and scheduling
- Excellent phone presence; calm, clear and professional with clients in an emergency
- Strong organization and follow-through
- Comfortable with office software and job management systems
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- IICRC certification is a plus but not required
COMPENSATION
- $28.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Full-time, on-site at our San Clemente office
- This position does not include benefits
